Your impression of Hopedale is right. Aside from an outstanding location (just off Route 495 next to Milford , as well as close enough to Boston and Providence), it has great schools. It is a VERY tight knit community. There's only about six or so sq miles to the town and the population is under 7,000. Hopedale High is a small, one-town only school with good academics and OUTSTANDING athletics as well. You will like Hopedale.
The only down side is their VERY HIGH tax rate.
