Gloucester is a lovely place to visit & live! the town is old....and soo pretty! everywhere you look is picturesque...it has tons of great restaurants, i suggest Passports on Main St! there are also nice shops downtown....art galleries in rockport and gloucester ...amazing live music on the weekends at the local bars - its more fun in the summer! hope you and your family have fun!

Are you out there? Hope your family is ok. Looking forward to your take on Southborough vs. Westborough and possibly Ashland. Hope to hear from you soon.

Default Hey there Puffle!

I'm here. Well, as you know, I am partial to Southborough, but that is probably because I live there! I just really like our location. Westborough is good, nice schools and some beautifull neighborhoods, but it felt a little far from Boston. We actually looked in Ashland, but at the time, prices were so high, almost as high as Southborough. I suppose it didn't help that our realtor was a self-described "Southborough Snob". She raised her 3 kids here, and had only wonderfull things to say about the town. What I have found is that people here are very friendly and welcoming to newcommers. I was invited to join a mom's group, which meets each week. Also, I like that there are alot of professional people in town, but it doesn't feel snobby. And of course, we fell in love with our house. That being said, we are considering a move back to CA (we passed on the GA deal). We miss our family so much. It's tough... gloucester-114-1433_img.jpg

I feel for your situation, especially around the holidays. But even if we had the money to stay and buy a great house, I still don't think I would stay here. How long has it been since you lived here? Do you think Ashland and Southborough are pretty similiar ?
