Default Chelmsford Question

Hi everyone,

We're contemplating moving to Courtyard Condo's on Littleton Rd/110, anyone have any insight to the area? How bad is the traffic on 110? We're in Manchester, NH right now, trying to move back to Mass. to be closer to family & better jobs. Having a hard time finding a "nice" apartment close to highways.

any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You didn't say where your jobs (job prospects?) or family are. But not far from there, in Acton, along Route 2A you can find a lot of nice condo/apt complexes. An '80s development called Nagog Woods is a "village" unto itself with its own post office; it's a bunch of townhouse clusters on named streets like Meadow's Edge and Tumbling Hawk (!) which is showing its vintage but not its age. That complex was built during the Digital boom as a condo community but undoubtedly has some places available for rent. It seems "far removed" from things given its quiet setting, but actually is a short hop from 495. 2A continues all the way east to the Concord Rotary for a fast trip into Waltham and Cambridge along Route 2. Some backups do occur during rush hours, but they're short-lived.
110 is also a heavily-traveled but relatively quick road. The construction of 495 helped the traffic flow along there, since they run parallel. Chelmsford is a pleasant, quintessentially suburban community but Acton is a somewhat better "address" for comparable money.

Thanks!

We have family all over Wilmington, Woburn, Peabody, Medford. Looking into jobs around Rt 3/Rt 495/Rt 128. We've been out of state for 6 years and we're most familiar with these surrounding areas. I'll have to research Acton a little more!

Chelmsford and Acton are both at the far end of an arc that extends across the towns you listed to Peabody. Are you looking to be thus situated? I've deduced that you're a couple and that kids won't be involved in this relo, but what age range are you in? Any advice from me/us would be enhanced by my/our knowing whether you're 25 or 55 (only presuming not much older because of the retirement age.)
