Wish I could help you with an agent. We have several on this site so I would look at the real estate section here. Yes, rent and mortgages will be a shock compared to Vegas but everything else is so much better. I have four dogs too and that was the only hard part of finding a place. Since there seems to be a lot on the market, people may be more flexible with their dog limits. Be aware that certain towns have a two dog limit or you have the choice of buying a kennel license. We found a rental in Concord that had no problem with them but it wasn't easy.
Your husband will love it here with all of the cyclists and history. The winters are normal east coast winters which can be harsh or not. It's cold and it snows. Come spring time everyone is planting and it shows the celebration of leaving winter.

Hi I
My husband and I live in Monterey, ca. I was recently laid off and my husband may be also. We have an opportunity to move to Mass. He was offered a very good job in Peabody. I was born and raised here in Ca. Not sure if I would like it? Although Rockport looks appealing to us. Any ideas or comments? Thank You!

Hard for anyone that doesn't know you to say if you would like Ma. or not. I love Montery and Carmel, in fact most of Northern Ca. and Ma. is nothing like it. But life should be an adventure so why not branch out of your comfort zone and try the other coast for a change? Did you like S.F? If so, you should love Boston. Much easier to get around and the history and archetecture is amazing. Have you had a visit yet? Personally, I like Newburyport more than Rockport or Marblehead. Not much going on in Rockport compared to Newburyport or Marblehead. Beverly Farms is gorgeous too. We moved from Socal a year ago and are much more use to constant sunshine than you are so hopefully you will survive the winter months and the more conservative folks here.

Well I am stuck in MI for a while until I can save up funds for my ultimate move. If anything this has given me a change to catch up on events with my family and help them out with some things that they have going on. I might even be able to get a place of my own instead of sharing with someone I dont know because my youngest sister needs someone to stay with her for medical reasons and she also wants to leave the state of MI. it will all work out in the end

I grew up in New York City, but I want to move to Boston in the new year, because I've been dying for a way out of this city since before the financial crisis hit; and Boston seems like a good place. Easy to get around without a car (it sucks that the T doesn't run all night, though), and a bit cheaper than New York (then again, everything's a bit cheaper than New York).

I would absolutely not move to Brockton as it can be dangerous and the schools are not good.
