I have no idea what your budget is but here's a list of towns I'd consider "Mayberry"

Dover
Sherborn
Medfield
Norfolk
Wrentham
Hopkinton
Holliston

I'm sure there are more but those pop to mind first.

Attleboro is a long way from Andover. Andover is near New Hampshire, Attleboro is on the Rhode Island border.

Lynnfield is a very sweet town - not a bad ride from Andover but I don't know what the drive would be like to Boston from there.

Lynnfield...I don't think I have ever heard of that place...will have to check it out. I fell in love with Foxboro and Woburn, so quaint and yet enough to do with great access to boston! I guess thats what I am looking for.

I only mention it because it has a very well regarded school system and is a very pretty town with that sort of bucolic feel. However, others here might know of other good options with easy access to Andover and Boston as well. That's funny, I never thought of Foxboro as being quaint but that's probably because all I ever saw of it was the ride to Foxboro Stadium! (or whatever they're calling it these days!)

oh yeah, the ride to now Gillette (SP) stadium would not be the "quaint" part of foxboro for sure!!! LOL.... Will have to check out Lynfield though...sounds nice! I also think that Woburn is very nice area. It is a little busier than what I would like, but well situated.
