um, Milton is a pretty solid middle-upper middle class neighborhood. Milton Academy is located there (alma mater of a few Kennedys and TS Eliot) and Deval Patrick may still live there. biggest concern w/ Milton is sharing a border w/ Mattapan, but this is a minor concern. honestly, I wasn't even aware of the fact that there was public housing in Milton at all, but if she can get something there, I'd say go for it

Please, relax. Milton is one of the nicest towns around. Maybe you mean a Section 8 voucher or something? As other posters, I'm not aware of actual subsidized housing in Milton.
I wish I could afford Milton.

I have lived in Milton for 19 years and am raising two children as a single mother. It is a wonderful community. Very safe, lots of diversity, great public schools, etc. Town swimming pool, good recreation department with super affordable summer day camp. It is a great place to live.
