forget Beverly for that price, Braintee maybe not. You might look towards Roslindale, maybe Quincy may find you a place.

I think Beverly is nice - on the water, served by the commuter rail into Boston, and has some things going on downtown. It also has a mix of neighborhoods, from the genteel (like Beverly Farms) to the slightly sketchy (like Rantoul St).
If you don't need a fancy new apartment, and were willing to beat the bushes, I think you could get a 1-bedroom in Beverly in the $800-$1000 range.

Nothing charming about Braintree. It's very suburbo.
Also, it's south of Boston, while Beverly is north. Where do you want to work/need to go?

Beverly is a very nice town, and I'm sure you could find a very nice 1br for under 1k. My brother lives above a coffee shop in downtown Beverly, and want to say he pays ~800 for his 1bd.
However, if you're going to be working in Braintree, you do not want to live in Beverly. That commute would be a suicide mission.

Lol I definitely would not even atempt that commute it would majorly suck. Did Beverly hills CA really get their name from Beverly ma? I'm gonna have to research that. My step brother grew up in Beverly but I neve got to go the only thing he didn't like about it was the weather and cost of living he lives in Nashville now
