I'm assuming not Rats by the lack of interest. I didn't think there was, not close enough to Boston.

There are rats there. Why wouldn't there be? They are very successful little buggers.

Any city as old as Salem will have a healthy rat population. Get a cat. You'll be fine.

Hi Twig. High cancer rates would be a deal breaker for me, but rats are everywhere. Where ever you move just make sure that everything is sealed in the attic as well as all the ventilation spaces. See if there are any droppings in the attic or basement or just get an exterminator to check it out for you.

I knew there were Rats in the city but I didn't know they were in the towns to. I mean, what do you do if you see a fricken Rat? Shoot it with a bb gun? I might just feel sorry for the things. What do you do if your renting and have them?

Twiggy, I'm sure there are rats in the town you live in now. They are pretty much everywhere.

Twig, if you take an apartment on a higher floor you should be ok. I have not had a single rat or mouse issue since living here and believe me, in the country we have our share especially field mice. Living in Bakershell our problem was frogs!

I'd say yes on the Rats in Salem.

Frankly, I thought you were talking about something other than actual Rats.

I started wondering, what the heck are "Rats" till I realized you are actually talking about Rats, those things that look like mice but bigger.
