Default Question about cambridge, ma area and surrounding areas

I am looking for any information about Cambridge, MA and all the surrounding areas within like 30 minutes or so. I am looking for a nice safe neighborhood to buy a home-thats affordable($100-200k)!! Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

You could probably find a condo in East Boston for @ 200K. Schools not so good. but without kids it is a fine place to live. The T to Cambridge requires two train changes iirc. Blue and the red lines don't cross. Or you can walk from one station to the next which is usually faster.

Simple answer, unfortunately, there is nothing in that price range. Certainly not in Cambridge. A studio in Cambridge is likely to be$200K at very very minimum.
Are you open to condos, or only houses? If houses, there's nothing in eastern Mass.
Sorry to sound so harsh, but I've fought the real estate wars around here for some time, and it's not easy.
By "thirty minutes," do you mean driving, or train?
