Default Best hospitals to work at in MA

I am interested in comments from people who work now or have for either
Caritas Hospital in Methuen or Lahey Clinic in Burlington. I have 2 job offers, one from each and don't really know the reputation of either. Any help
appreciated.

Lahey Clinic has a very good reputation as a place to work, although I haven't worked there, I've heard very good from people who have.
The Caritas system of hospitals is in big financial trouble. I'd stay away from them. Plus, Burlington is a far nicer area than Metheun. I don't think there's any comparison. Best wishes.

It is not a specific question actually, just comparing apples and oranges I guess. I did work at MGH in a small branch for 5 years than relocated and I
am back in MA again. Some of the jobs at MGH have been frozen but I would
like to continue in the same field again.
I only work part-time and it is insurance and registration that I will be working
in. Just trying to get a feel for both places from people who have worked there or gone there as patients.
They are both equally driving distance from where I live.
When hospitals are rated or compared I don't hear much about either only the big Boston ones.
Thanks again.

I don't really know too much about Caritas other then St. Elizabeth's, which is near me.

Lahey Clinic is divided up into to 2 divisions the Clinic side, where all the difference practices are located where patient go to their Dr. appointments and the Hospital side, where the inpatients are. All the hopital rooms are private rooms.

We have a brand new wing that houses the new SICU, MICU, ORs and cancer infusion center. We see alot of patients for Cardiac Caths, bypasses and do quite a few liver transplants.

I work there as an RN so I don't know too much about the admin, insurance part of the hospital.

My Ex worked at Lahey in admin for quite some time. Lahey has a great reputation on the clinical side. And he loved who he worked for. As with any job, it's more about the people. Decide if you'd like who you would be working with. You can work in the best hospital/company, but if your boss is a pompous you-know-what....you'll be miserable!
