Default Where to live in western mass

I am considering a move to the Western Mass area. Please recommend affordable (600-725 for rent) areas. It doesn't matter if it is urban or more suburban. I saw apartments in Southwick on Craigslist off of College Highway, is that a good area? Any responses would be appreciated. Thanks

What other towns are you looking at? Anywhere in Southwick is nice. Parts of Westfield and Agawam are nice. If you want to live closer to malls/theaters, parts of W.Springfield are nice. I would stay away from Springfield or Holyoke. You will find affordable apartments there, but there are not a lot of nice areas.

Ooops, I was looking at Holyoke and East Hampton. I will stick to Southwick, Westfield and Agawam. I can't think of any others. I was thinking about working in Hartford. Is it true I would pay taxes for CT and MA? Thanks for the advice.

Easthampton is nice too. Yes you will pay taxes in both CT and MA if you live in Ma and work in CT.

Easthampton is the place to be if you're looking for some place quiet, safe, and cheap.

For work, maybe try Cooly Dickinson or Baystate Health?

For convenience, I would recommend living near a city Springfield, or possibly Pittsfield.
