Would you stay in Mass if you won the lottery?
OK, if money were no option, where would you prefer to live if you could live anywhere?
If you prefer to STAY in MA, where would your first choice to live be? I think I would be a beautiful home in Brookline near a subway stop.

If I won the lottery, I would absolutely stay in Mass. I'd buy a nice townhouse in the Back Bay or on Beacon Hill. I'd convert the roof into a rooftop garden complete with hot tub and rooftop bar. I'd want to be able to walk to the T as well. I don't think I could stand having a driver/ driving myself in Boston no matter how much money I had. I may pay to store a car somewhere for trips out of the city though.

depends on how much I won....if I could buy multiple homes I'd buy an apartment downtown....and maybe a place on the Vineyard or in Rockport....these would be my spring/summer homes
for the fall/winter I would buy someplace else...though probably not in the United States....well maybe in Florida or San Francisco or San Diego....or Malibu if I won a lot of money....
but i'd probably live here in Boston a good half the year

I'm waiting for someone to say they would ONLY stay in Mass. if they won the lottery.
I would stay and probably also get a big spread in Brookline or maybe a nice place in the city. I might get a small condo somewhere warm to escape to if I got tired of winter. Maybe somewhere in the Carribbean.

I would absolutely NOT stay in Massachusetts. If I could live anywhere, I would live in Paris. If I was going to live anywhere in the U.S I would live in Arizona.

I'd definitely get a condo in Massachusetts, preferably near the water though, right near the City for quick access in to see my friends! I'd go crazy not being near the ocean where I live near it in southern NH. I know I'd check out Winthrop first to the north of Boston, for a fact. I want a condo with either a roof deck for the fireworks and to look at Boston's incredible skyline & to enjoy OR I'd at least want this condo to be within walking distance to the beach, up on the hill near the Winthrop Arms restaurant is where I'd love to live actually! If I couldn't find what I was looking for there? I'd check out Marina Bay in Squantum to see what they had "left" for condo's, it's a beautiful spot with easy quick access in to downtown Boston. These are actually the only two places I'd move to IF I won the lottery, and that's a big IF because I only get free bets lately on my numbers! If I couldn't find what I was looking for in Winthrop or Squantum? Then I'd check Cape Cod out, preferably the lower Cape as an investment and I'd go there a few months out of the year. Then I'd buy something (NOT in Florida) but the southwest part of the country. Either Arizona, Texas or Colorado. I'd travel thru those states first though and do my homework on it all of course, you know, take my time and explore it all thru there to see what I think...
I thought about moving to one of the various neighborhoods within the City of Boston, like Charlestown or Southie, but to me now it's filled & I mean filled WAY too much with 20 something yuppies now & it's just not the same. I'm sure Winthrop and/or Squantum are too, but at least you'd be able to blend in better with all of the other "millionaire's" that don't want to act like they are, LOL!

Having left MA and lived in CO for 9 months, I would have to say if I won a significant amount in the lottery I would by a townhouse possibly in Rockport or Gloucester and buy a condo somewhere near Albuquerque. Colorado was awsome till I visited NM. Hubby did not like Colorado there fore back in MA and renting in suburbia. For those considering a move to CO the dry weather
and altitude had me feeling great!! Visiting isn't enough need to stay for a
couple of months.

Nice idea for a thread!! If I came into $$$$ like that, I would pay off my Cape Cod home and keep it for summer-time visits. Then I would move to Texas.

I'd keep my little dream house here, but would spend Memorial Day to Labor Day in mountain Colorado, and from there, go to various places of interest in the West. Oh, and lease a horse out there.
(In fact, I was trying to do that on a normal working salary, but couldn't swing it, had to sell the Colorado property).
