Default Antique Malls

Does anyone know of any antique malls in Eastern MA, like within an hour of Boston?

I've been to one in NH, and find it hard to believe there's not one closer.

It doesn't have to be enormous, but more than one vendor.... I don't do Brimfield, it's too much for me.

Thank you, I hope to hear of something!!!

Do you mean collections of stores that sell antiques, or really old malls? If it's the former, can't help you but the latter, check out the Arcade Mall on Weybosset St. in Providence ( The Arcade, Providence RI )

Well, a really old mall might be fun, but I've been there and done that, so I was looking for stores that sold cheap antiques--not the good stuff.

And I happened to glance down and saw a couple of old threads listed that answered my questions....

Thank you!

Clevedark, sorry to bump, but I was in an Antique Mall in New Bedford and I think it may be what you're looking for. The New Bedford Antiques Center on Coggeshall St. Right off 195 is growing and may be worth looking into. It's not the fanciest place in the world, but they had a good selection when I went. This is a recent article about an art exhibit happening there: SouthCoastToday.com: Antiques center shows local artists

and this new bedford antiques center - Google Maps is the location on a map. Hope this helps a bit.

p.s. this website may have some valuable info: ANTIQUES and Antiquing in MASSACHUSETTS

Well isn't that nice of you to think of my quest! Thank you for the tip. It does sound really good--New Bedford sounds like the right town for my kind of antique center. It sounds eclectic and like it's a bit of a crossroads. I will def make a visit.

It's the only way to shop, especially for linens dishes glasses, etc. New things are way too expensive and not as nice.

Not sure if this is up your alley, and I personally have never been. I know people who frequent this, though.

I went to a place in Hudson, I think it was, last week, that shares space with Zimman's fabric in an old warehouse.

There's a couple I like too up on route 1 in Wells, Maine. Not sure how far that is for you. It's about 2.5 hours for me from where I am on the Cape, so I hit them when I go to Maine for a week or so.

There's another one that's pretty cool in Searsport, Me. A lot of different vendors (antique and vintage stuff).... Searsport also has outdoor antique flea market vendors on Saturday's and Sunday's. Searsport is about 3 hours from Portland, Maine. But it is a nifty little town to visit!
