just wanted to add that if you are doing 2 days and want to see salem: make one day the fenway trip, and take a trolley tour of boston. you will see most of the highlights if you choose some trolley stops to walk around.
the other day go to salem then head to rockport or gloucester for a two-town new-england sea-side adventure.
