Moving to Northborough MA area
Hi:
I am moving from Michigan to the Northborough MA region, within 15 mile radius. I am looking for feedback on the schools (2nd and 4th grades) and other information that can I use to make a decision on where to live.
Thanks.

There are lots of good options for nice towns nearby with good school systems, including Northboro itself, Southboro, Westboro, Holliston, Hopkinton, etc. If you can share a bit about what you're looking for in terms of community, neighborhood, and price range I'd be glad to share my two cents on are neighborhoods.

Northborough is a wonderful town! You can't go wrong with the elementary schools. They are small neighborhood schools with 3 classes per grade. Usually 16-20 in a class. Each school has a different "feel" but they are all excellent. Northborough has the added bonus of being in a regional district for High School. Last i read, Algonquin was rated 4th in the state. And it's right off Bartleet Street in Northborough.
The town is close to major routes and near malls, movie theaters and restaurants. It retains a small town vibe and has a great community. The Newcomers club is quite active and you will be welcomed!
The sports fields are great, the town supports arts in the schools and there is a new library building nearing completion.
There are a range of housing options. From single families tucked away in the woods, to child-friendly neighborhoods to condos.
Good luck!

Thanks for the information!
Any suggestions on good family and child-friendly neighborhoods in Northborough or Southborough? Right now, we live in a very friendly neighborhood and our kids have many friends that are in very close proximity. Our house tends to be where most of the neighborhood kids end up playing for some reason!

There are several. It depends a lot on price range. For ex, in the 300s Northgate is a lovely neighborhood in Northboro. In the 500s Assabet Hill Rd is nice. In the 600s, there are several subdevelopments, including homes on Woodstone Rd that are nice, although there is some highway noise there depending on what end of the street you're on. In Southboro there's a nice neighborhood off of Flagg Rd with homes ranging in the 400s to 600s and there's a high end neighborhood of homes off Sears Rd/Presidential Rd, homes more in the 700-1M+. There are some pretty neighborhoods off Pine Hill Rd in Southboro with varying prices. Those are just a few I can think of off the top of my head.

Hi
The Northgate area is great for families and there are a wide variety of homes-from 4 br colonials to 3br. splits, capes and ranches. I also really like Wesson Terrace area. There are some nice colonials for sale on Whitney Street but that's more of a cut-through street. There are some expensive "developmenty" areas like Tall Pines that are lovely and community oriented. It's a very nice town with top notch schools. What price range are you considering?
