Default Looking for good primary care physician

Can anyone recommend a good primary care physician in the metrowest area? My husband just went to a medical center in Southboro and found them quite lacking. Looking for someone knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate.

Scarlettfire, my PCP operates out of Walpole and has admitting privileges to Newton Wellesley. We think he is awesome. DM me and I'll give you his name. I also have the name of another doctor in Walpole--female--who I also loved, but I couldn't stand her office staff. She and my current PCP used to practice together. She split off on her own and I originally followed her because they are family practioners as well and I saw her for gyn stuff. But as I said, her office staff drove me batty. But you and/or your husband might be different, so I'd say interview both of them and make a decision!

Default A Great Doctor in Wellesley

Direct e-mail me, if you'd like, in regards to the specific name and contact info of the following doctor:

After a few years of not being satisfied with my primary care physician, I found a tremendous doctor in Wellesley. He is an MD (with an affiliation to Newton-Wellesley Hospital) who also happens to have a great knowledge of alternative medicine. This integrative approach benefits patients like me because you get two valid perspectives -- the allopathic and alternative. My first appointment lasted over 90 minutes -- quite thorough and educational. He also has a great disposition, listens well, and makes you feel comfortable -- good news for people who get nervous going to the doctor. I now I know have a doctor who won't hesitate to prescribe when necessary, but also consider preventative measures important as part of the yearly visit. And those preventative measures aren't just telling you to take a multi, Vitamin C and calcium. He is up on all the latest science and will get into the "why" and "how" of what to do to potentiate being healthy.

I received a very thorough blood test -- not just the "Cliff Notes' version -- which included testing Vitamin D levels.

He also has a terrific nurse practitioner who is also quite knowledge in the preventative. You're really getting the best of both worlds here.

The entire staff is pleasant, and the atmosphere positive and professional. You don't feel rushed -- something so common today in certain sectors of the medical world.

I can't say enough good things about him -- and the staff, as well. It is now, once again, a good experience going to the doctor.
