Default Snow removal - Seasonal contract

Hi - What are the typical rates for a seasonal contract for snow removal in Newton, MA.

I have an uphill driveway and stairway. Does $600 sound reasonable?

thanks,

We've always paid on a per storm basis...

I have never heard of a total cost per season contract. It is usually based on per storm and per visit.

As an example; if it snows 6"-8" in one storm and the plow comes once, then you will be charged for that visit. If it snows 10"+ at one time and it continues to snow for many hours, the plow may need to visit more than once to keep your driveway clear. You could be charged for 2 visits.

I charge each visit, and leave it to the customer to call me when they want to be plowed out. I will do an initial snow removal at about 6"-8", if it continues to snow the decision to have me come back is left up to the customer to call me back.
