Default Birth and Death Records in Bourne, MA

Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to see how one would go about looking for birth and death records for people who were from Bourne, MA. In the 50's, my grandma (who has long passed) was in love with a lovely man named Richard Calder who was in the US Navy and travelled to New Zealand (that's where they met). She ended up breaking his heart and regretted it her whole life. The only pieces we remember are his name, that he was in the US Navy in the 50's, travelling to NZ in 1956 for what we believe was the last time, and was from "Boston." When I went googling, I found a Richard Calder USN from Bourne and figured this may be him (he might have said Boston because the kiwi's knew the bigger cities). Does anyone have any idea how I could go about looking at public records in Bourne? We are just wondering what ever happened to him.

Thanks!

There are 2 records in the social security death index that match your info:

The 2nd one says "V" (veteran) - that could be him. Both of the names are in Florida.

I sent you a DM.
