I concur with the recommendation for Dave Ness. I had a historic old home. He did my roof at a very competitive price, the work was flawless, and his crew left my property in pristine condition. I'd use him again with no hesitation. (I am not employed by Ness and have absolutely relationship with him or his company.) I've also heard good things about Cameron Roofing, PO Box 1011, North Attleboro, MA 02760--508-643-0001. Good luck.

How about a siding contractor? Looking for good fiber cement siding contractor... Also, if you have done it before... what is your per square ft price?

I'd like to know a good fiber cement siding contractor, too. I'd sure like to get rid of this awful vinyl siding.

Cement siding is OK but keep in mind it's very brittle, It's a little more expensive than wood shake shingle, it really all depends on what you want and why you wish to use concrete. For my money, If I ever remove the vinyl off of my house I will be going with primed cedar and painting. Vinyl may be final, but so is your color choice.
And I do all of it for a living. Fact, I WILL not put up primed fascia and shadow boards. I will only install Azek PVC trim boards. It will take paint if you don't want white, but it is impervious to rot and bugs. It's just the better way to go for the homeowner. You'll get a better job for years to come with no unseen damage behind trim metal bent over your fascia boards.

What is the concern about cement siding being brittle? Do you mean if someone throw a soccer ball to the siding, it will fall into pieces? How is that compare to other material?
Cedar is so expensive... and painting is just a pain in the neck... every few years....

Hi,
Have you contacted Bob at Robert Kierce Roofing? He did my neighbors roof and I know they were really happy with his price/work. His phone is 508-698-3806. ( I grabbed his number b/c we are in need of a roof as well).
Good Luck!
Betsy
