Tomorrow's the day!
We are getting on the road at 1pm tomorrow. I hope to make it to Jackson Tennessee Friday night. Saturday we will cross TN and VA, staying in far northern VA. Sunday we will cross West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and into Massachusetts.
Whew!
Wish me luck! I hear we are arriving to a high of 19 degrees. Holy Moly that sounds cold! Texas was nice enough to send me off with 80 degree weather today. *sigh* I'm gonna miss that!
See ya on the flip side!

Haha... it's going to take some getting used to in terms of the temperatures, but I hope you have a safe trip! did you end up solving the rental situation (I assume so since you probably wouldn't be heading up without a place to stay!)?
Enjoy the drive!

Yes! I found a lady willing to do a tenant-at-will on a 1 bedroom basement apartment. UGh! But, it's fully furnished, all bills paid, and will be a great start for us. I'm grateful that we were able to get it. As a bonus - the landlady works for an early education foundation. What a blessing, since you know I'm somewhat fanatical about education...
We are so excited! I almost can't fit any actual clothes in my car cuz it's so stuffed full of winter gear! LOL

What a stroke of luck. Hopefully it's a good jumping off point for you. Enjoy the trip up and if there's anything I can do (or my mother) feel free to ask.
