rhodiecub is on a distinguished road
Default North of Boston vs South of Boston

I'm a single 33 y/o male and I've been living in the Providence area on and off for close to 9 years with the exception of living in Hilton Head, SC for about a year & 4 months. I actually lived in Cumberland RI for close to 5 years and then Attleboro for roughly 3 years. At this point, I really feel the need to move out of this area because the economy in the Providence RI and the surrounding Attleboro area really seems depressed and much of my friends who I had met here have moved on as well. I'm going by my gut instinct that moving out of the Providence south shore area would be best for me. I have an opportunity to share an apartment with a good friend of mine in Woburn, MA. I will be starting a new job (although only temp with the possibility to go permanent) in Canton, MA. So would moving up to Woburn be a better opportunity for me? What I'm curious about is would Woburn be better for me jobwise and maybe even socially, especially since I have family and some friends who live up that way?
