Would suggest Cohasset or Hingham, Weymouth, Scituate
The Green bush commuter line now serves these areas to South Station

Scituate Ma. Very pretty coastal town, friendly, great beaches & schools....lots to do there.

All of these suggestions are good. The only one I'd disagree with is Quincy/No. Quincy. I don't know if someone mentioned Weymouth, but not a big fan of that one either. I've spent a lot of time at one of the high schools in Quincy and it's a disaster. Kept waiting for the ceiling to fall in and the trash in the surrounding area was disgusting.

I don't recommend Lakeville unless you like isolation. You'd be better off in Plymouth, Marshfield, Kingston or Pembroke.
