Default What is the easiest way from Hartford to Cambridge?

I'm new to the Hartford area and I have to go to Cambridge by the Harvard campus. What is the easiest way to get there?
I guess I should say, what is the best T station to park at? I plan on taking the T to Cambridge but I don't know which station to go to. I want to make sure I'm someplace that has enough parking. Oh and a station that's pretty safe would be nice?

I'm not good with city driving so the easiest way would be great not so much the quickest.
I won't be able to check in until Sunday night but thank you in advance for any help!

I-84 East to Sturbridge, MA and get on the Mass. Pike aka I-90. I'd then take the Rte. 128 North exit off the Mass. Pike. Then go Rte. 2 East and head into Cambridge. Park at the Alewife T station and take the Red Line into Harvard Square.
