Default Moving back to MA

Since 2003, its the first time I will be back living in my hometown of Billerica. Im coming back from FL after 4-5 yrs so the change will be refreshing. Anyone else come from Lowell/Burlington area here?
Im 28 yrs old, male and looking for some cool peeps to hit up. I know a few friends in the area, but always welcome to make more. Anyone into punk or alternative music by chance?

If you are looking to "hook up" with people, I think you'll be better off using Facebook or Meetup.com or even Craigs List.

Good luck, and welcome back!

I'd also head into town and check out some of the rock clubs. listen for local and underground bands and check out their shows. Places like TT The Bear's Place, Bill's Bar, the Middle East, and now House of Blues have many shows with various types of bands... If you find a show you're interested in, you'll find like-minded people. Facebook is always a good way to meet people too.

Yea Boston and Cambridge isnt a hell of a ways. Theres always ways to get to the city that are more efficient. Concerts wont be my #1 priority when I first move there tho. I havent heard of Bears place or Bills bar but for sure know of the last 2.
So, how are jobs doing out there these days?
Also, never really been a facebook fan. You think its really any better than myspace?

In my opinion, Facebook is a good site, and in fact, I like it better than Myspace. Myspace is dark, lots of music, weird colors, hard to navigate (in my opinion). Facebook is fairly clean looking (although they are continuously updating it), and the reason I like Facebook is that it seems like every day, I'm meeting more and more old friends that I used to know. As far as meeting NEW friends goes, it's probably good to use it as an "ice-breaker", but you'd be better off using it to look for groups in the MA area that are into things that you enjoy doing rather than seek individuals out. Good luck!

Thanks Ill keep that in mind. Besides people search making things easier on facebook, I just find myspace easier ntm myspace has a search section by full name too.
What are some things you like to do?
