Cheap Sporting Goods Store? (Newton, Braintree: buy, price, stores)

In Texas we have these HYOOGE sporting goods stores called Academy. Academy Sports + Outdoors - Sporting Goods Store They sell a wide price range from super cheep Champion gear to top of the line. I can get tennis shoes for the boys anywhere from $15 for Trek to $30 for Nike/Adidas

Needless to say, I'm looking for something similar here. Dick's and Olympia are more expensive than I'm looking for. Our budget is tight, and outfitting 2 boys for soccer would be well outside $100 at either of those.

Any suggestions?

Modell's and Decathalon Sports are probably what you're looking for. They're both chains so they should have websites with locations closest to you. I know there's a Modell's in Newton, on Needham St., and a Decathalon in Hanover on Rt. 53.

I don't know Dick's or Olympia, so I can't guarantee they'll be much cheaper, but it's worth giving them a call to price cleats, etc.

Have you been to the Wrentham outlets yet? There's Reebok, Adidas, Puma and Nike outlet stores there.

Also, in Walpole center, there is a used sporting goods store called re-plays. 508 668-9990

The Reebok factory store in Randolph can be a good spot. They were recently offering buy one, get one half price sale. You also get a 20% discount with a AAA card. I did well at the Hanover Mall at Finish Line and Foot Locker. They always had a good variety of sneakers on sale. Finally, Marshalls in Braintree has a big shoe department and I often got good buys there as well.

You can also try "Play it again sports". I believe they have a couple stores, but there is one in Stoneham on Montvale Ave that I know of. It's mostly pre owned equipment but you can get some good stuff cheap from them.

Play it Again Sports is a national chain; I've seen another of their stores in the Dedham/Norwood area along Washington St.
