Regarding Greendale's comment about Cambridge, there are definitely communities your sister would want to avoid. Cambridge is one of them, but there are others. Lexington and Concord were mentioned earlier, and are in the notably left-wing category as well.
Aside from the specific question in the original post, it always helps narrow down the possibilities if there's information on what kind of amenities and practical everyday situation the person is looking for, such as an urban, suburban, or somewhat rural setting, any specific activities the person wants nearby, any desire to have ready access to public transit, how long a commute the person can handle, etc. Also, with regard to political leanings, if your sister has any specific issues where she would find it especially important to have a rightward leaning in the prevailing local views, those might help narrow things down as well. If she just generally wants a town that is not way far to the left politically, the suggestions already offered are good. If she would not mind a somewhat longer commute, and might prefer a more rural setting, Douglas and Dudley might also be worth checking out.

I think Casey's recommendations are all excellent. While probably more liberal than in other states, most of those towns are really just upscale suburbs and similar to upscale suburbs across the country. From the questions I've seen on here I think people in other parts of the country may have wildly distorted vision of Massachusetts as some socialist workers paradise or free love hippie liberal collective; in reality its a lot more like the rest of the country than it is different, especially in the distant suburbs.
Your sister should consider Dover, as well. It usually winds up on lists of most conservative towns around Boston and is reasonably close to Canton. It is very pricey, though, so it may be beyond your sisters budget, depending on what kind of house she is looking for.

Good luck with your search!

Forgive me if I think it's screwed up not to be allowed to keep score at sporting events or to play tag at recess. I'm sure most people think PC nonsense like we're seeing in some progressive school systems isn't what they want.

I would definately suggest some of the more affluent towns on the south shore for your sister. Hingham and Duxbury immediately come to mind. Everyone keeps score. These towns are highly competitive and parents unabashedly pay out large sums of money to be sure their children have the edge academically and athletically by hiring private tutors and coaches. The schools in both towns are top notch but many parents opt to send their kids to top tier private schools like Derby, Thayer and Milton Academy to ensure their entrance into prestigious colleges.

Don't go to Framingham. The state rep for Framingham has proposed allowing illegal aliens to vote in local elections. Framingham is home to a large number of illegal aliens, mostly Brazilians...
State Democrats despoil democracy - BostonHerald.com
“We have a large population of people living here who don’t have the same rights and opportunities of the rest of us,” she complained. “I’m talking about undocumented immigrants.”
Most “unfair,” she argues, is their exclusion from our democratic process.
“They don’t feel that they have anyone to represent them [in government]. It’s because they’re not part of the democracy,” Richardson told fellow Democrats."

You can say that without being incendiary. You can say:
"My sister has been transferred to Boston. She's looking for a good family environment in which to raise her kids. She and her husband do not, for example, subscribe to "PC" or "progressive" ideas like banning tag and not being allowed to keep score at sporting events."
Are there any suburbs or towns in the state with more conservative values? Or maybe nearby communities in neighboring states?"
Words like "sane," "normal," and "nonsense" will not endear you to anyone here.

That is funny- someone asks about avoiding PC towns and gets scolded for not asking in a PC way.

It's not a PC issue at all. I would not expect a great reception if I went to the Oklahoma board and wrote:
Looking for a liberal enclave in Okla.
My sister has been transferred to Tulsa. She's looking for a good family environment in which to raise her kids. Or as her husband says, "a place where they don't imagine you to have horns and a forked tail if you refuse to pillory gay people." My sister and her husband think it's screwed up when people can't learn real science in the classroom, and they're not fans of this nonsense where people think it's OK to carry concealed guns. They would just like to live in a sane place where people care about the environment and support a woman's right to choose.
Are there any suburbs or towns in the state with intelligent and reasonable people? Or maybe nearby communities in neighboring states?
I'm sure the recent influx of right-wingers on the Massachusetts board is not representative and not all conservatives think it's standard operating procedure to be rude.

How typical, right? The PC police are everywhere!
