Ok, let's get back to the thread topic, there have been enough comments about how the question was worded.
Eeeee22895, if your sister decides to accept the job offer, maybe she could join here and we could give her more specific information.

Massachusetts is the home of whiny, nanny state liberals who don't know what true liberty is.

I look at these people as the whiny transplants that move here to go to school and become teachers much moreso than the lifelong residents from the blue collar towns. The teachers at private programs often times are the worst offenders for political correctness. Also, I notice lots of them live in Cambridge or Arlington.

Or as her husband says, "a place where they don't imagine you to have horns and a forked tail if you refuse to pillory gay people." My sister and her husband think it's screwed up when people can't learn real science in the classroom, and they're not fans of this nonsense where people think it's OK to carry concealed guns. They would just like to live in a sane place where people care about the environment and support a woman's right to choose.
Are there any suburbs or towns in the state with intelligent and reasonable people? Or maybe nearby communities in neighboring states?
I'm sure the recent influx of right-wingers on the Massachusetts board is not representative and not all conservatives think it's standard operating procedure to be rude.

Read for yourself: http://www.city-data.com/forum/oklah...-anywhere.html. The symmetry is pretty telling...the first person says no, don't move here, and then people say check out the major urban areas.
For what it's worth, the most PC place I've ever lived was an upscale suburb in Texas. I think there's as much variation between towns in a state as there is between states in the country (which are both a lot less than the variations there are between countries). Your sister might get annoyed sometimes, but as long as she avoids the urban inner-core (i.e. any of the towns CaseyB recommended), she'll most likely get along fine.

A northeastern board talking about rude people? That's very good. What else are you going to lecture me about? Impatient driving?

I don't care where you're from, you are rude. You came on here of your own free will to solicit help and virtually every post you've made has been looking for a fight. You've been asked to watch your tone and you come back for more. If your sister's anything like this our state can do without her.
