Function Room or Small Party Venue SOUTH of BOSTON (Quincy: house, schools)

My sister is getting married in the fall and I will hold a bridal shower for her.

My hours were cut back at work and my "budget" for this shower is now a fraction of what I had originally planned/considered

I am looking for low-cost venues for hosting a shower in Quincy Milton Braintree Weymouth Hingham or a bt further south if the price is right

1. hall rental
2. restaurants with function hall that might not be too expensive
3. any ideas for saving money when hosting a bridal shower
4. culinary schools ? for catering

Any and all attention or suggestions are truly appreciated

I would also try to find someplace that offers a brunch. Often times you can reserve a large section of the restaurant for a private event and with a guarenteed number, you can get a better price than the general public.
