Wiccan-friendly Western MA
I have an opportunity to relocate to Western MA, and am looking for a liberal, Wiccan-friendly, rural, affordable location within an hour's drive of Lenox.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Well, don't turn me into a toad or anything - but why would people even know, or care if they did know?
Depending on where you come from, I think "liberal' would be a term you could apply to most places in Mass. I live in this little town that, demographically, SHOULD be conservative. however, I come from the south, and I can ASSURE you that by even using our most liberal-of-the-conservative standards - it's NOT a conservative town.
I mean - is your... what is Wiccan (belief?, religion?, practice?) so apparent that people will identify you as "that lady with the broom"?
Best of luck on the move. We love it here.
And now I'm off to google Wicca. You've piqued my interest!

I'm sure others will have more detailed info (I'm not AS familiar with Western MA as I am with Eastern MA), but I would suggest looking around Northampton. The town is beautiful and family friendly. It's also incredibly liberal. The extremely rural areas tend to have a bit less tolerance for differing beliefs than the more densely populated ones, which is why I suggest locating around a Northampton, or even Amherst. Don't get me wrong, there are maybe only 1 or 2 states that are more liberal than Mass. so "liberal" is a relative term. You'll find tolerance here. Westhampton is very rural and quite nice. It's also close to amenities in Northampton, Springfield, etc. It's pretty affordable (by MA standards) and it's certainly within an hour of Lenox. Good luck.

It looks like there are several online Wiccan communities. Be sure to ask there, as well. You may find several areas where groups have sprang up.

Pretty much anywhere in Massachusetts is liberal and Wiccan-friendly. Northampton and Amherst probably have the highest concentration of Wiccans in the area, if you prefer to be around other like-minded people. They're both about an hour away from Lenox. Of those two towns, South Amherst is probably the most rural section. Lots of cows and runaway chickens in that part of town.
As far as affordability, that depends on your definition of "affordable".
