East Longmeadow
Is a it a nice, safe place to live? My husband will be commuting into Hartford, CT. How about trafffic? Would it take him more than 45 minutes? I seem to be able to get more house for my money than in CT, but don't want to give up qulity of live for that.

East Longmeadow is a nice safe bedroom community. Not a bad choice, even if the taxes are high. But seeing as you are comoing from CT, the taxes will actually be better for you in E.L. Good Luck.

East Longmeadow
East Longmeadow is considered one of the nicer communities in the Springfield area.

His commute shouldn't be much longer than 45 minutes (under ideal conditions it is much less), depending on where in Hartford he is working and how the traffic is. I-91 is easy enough to get to from there.

How about the school systems? I don't have any children, but I need to take that into consideration for resale value. I don't know if East Longmeadow is a better option than the Tolland area in CT. Trying to weigh all options.

dentist/"cosmetic surgeon" in East Longmeadow
As a public service, I thought I would share this link with you, which documents facts about this East Longmeadow dentist/"cosmetic surgeon". Do read the Cease and Desist Order issued by the State of Connecticut.

I've lived in both states and am familiar with that rt.91.Its common for traffic to back up from BDL to Htfd.southbound and from BDL to springfield northbound between 7-9 AM and 3-6 PM.any weekday and on sunday nights. Also it is generally more expensive to live in Taxachusetts. You'll be paying the extra .5% on top of CT income tax,25 mills on your car, higher homeowners rates and auto rates. From experience I've found you should find a town with a low mill rate as close as possible to your job, possibly paying more for the house but you'll get it back in the end and not have the commuting nightmares.

Thank you for this information. I recently went to this dentist and his colleague Spink and my experience was very unsatisfactory.
