Smile Needham neighborhoods?

How are the neighborhoods set up in Needham?
(As in, what are the different parts of town?)

I'm looking to purchase a home in a reasonably friendly neighborhood for my family (my wife and I, two kids ages 2 1/2yo and 3mo). Suggestions?

Love to hear from you.

Needham is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful towns. You really can't go wrong. Fabulous schools, too. It's really $$$, Though. Good luck!

JBTD is right about the $$$$$$$ but if you can afford it, Needham is a very family-friendly , community place. You will not find a bad or unfriendly neighborhood here. Town hall, the school & quite often even realtors will provide you with a "resource" packet to help you get to know and become involved in local life.
To get a first hand idea try googling Parent Talk Inc., Needham, it is a good place to start. Also maybe look at Needham Hometown Weekly (local community paper), and the Needham Park & Rec Dept. Website. For a stay at home mom the opportunities are endless and if you do work (like so many of us) town hall has and endless supply of resources for everything from extended day programs for working parents to baby sitters for the much needed date night.
Only have experience at the Broadmeadow Ele. School so far but, love it. Teachers are caring, responsive, & always available. Parks and playgrounds are in great shape & always full of active families.
All that having been said, I can not under emphasize the price tag. Look carefully at realtor websites a cheap house can run you 600K.
Hope this helps...Good luck..
