Red face Help!! Working in Woburn...where to live??

I am taking a job in Woburn and moving from out of state. I am in my mid-30s with a young child, so I'm looking for a family friendly area (preferably not an apartment complex). I am hoping to find a 2-3bd for $2200 or less/month starting in mid-July to early August. Where geographically should I look, and should I use a realtor or a web-based search approach on my own?

From reading this forum, I have seen mixed reviews about the schools in Woburn. Any comments?
