Default Running club in Belmont

Thinking about moving to Belmont, I was wondering if there were any existing running clubs in the area.

I'm not aware of any in Belmont, but there are large and active groups in Cambridge and Somerville. You could probably find out by visiting any Marathon Sports store, especially the original one (on the west side of Mass. Ave between Harvard and Porter Squares.) Or show up at the weekly Fresh Pond races, on Saturday mornings at around 10, and ask around. In case you're not familiar with the area, Fresh Pond is in western Cambridge on the Belmont border and is bounded by Huron Ave + Blanchard Rd + Concord Ave + Fresh Pond Pkwy. So those races would be a natural draw for the fleet-footed of Belmont. Oddly enough, they're organized by a track club from Medford.
