Sutton: Good access to The Turnpike is starting to develop a good shopping base . Also will get you to Providence, fast on 146

Grafton: Charming, good town center fast to either 290 or 495

Leicester: Pass, odd location, not real attractive

Oxford: Good if you are going Pike or south, nice easy ride to Rhode Island beaches from here

Auburn: Only good thing is Turnpike access.

Sterling: Beautiful, good to 290 or Route 2. Also has a good annual fair
Charlton: Meh, neither good nor bad. Close to Sturbridge which is a bonus

Berlin does have a strong school system. It has definitely somehow kept it's country feel but Solomon Pond Mall is right there (in fact, I think part of it is on Berlin territory). Along with 495 and 290.

Again, it's very difficult to suggest a town without knowing price range.... Berlin has become more pricey in the past few years but is still affordable - at least by MA standards.

Thumbs up Some towns to consider for Millbury area within 45 min

South of Millbury:

Check out:

Sutton:

Whitinsville

Uxbridge:

Millville:

Blackstone:

Even Woonsocket RI or Slatersville RI might work

SW and W of town you might look into:

Webster (could go up 395 to 90) to Millbury or cut through the back roads
from 395

Southbridge:

Dudley:

Charlton:

Leicester:

The Brookfields:

Even Sturbridge Might work:
great schools lots to do in the area, between Worcester and Springfield

Possibly Brimfield As well

North and East of Millbury: --

Shrewsbury:

Berlin is really nice with a country feel to it

Boylston is another countryish town near the Wachusett Reservoir

Bolton Might work as well

you might check out Clinton too
not sure about the schools in Clinton though

Could possibly try Harvard
Bolton
Boxborough-Acton
Stow Areas as well as they are right next to 495 and you could go on 290
and cut through back roads to Millbury

East of Millbury

I'd def. suggest
HOPKINTON as the number 1 choice
good schools, location, activities, etc.

Hopkinton would be tied with Natick

Upton would be number 2

Mendon #3

Bellingham #4

Medway #5

Holliston #6

Ashland #7

Sherborn #8

Medfield #9

Norfolk #10

Westborough #11

West Boylston has great highway access and every convenience within 5 minutes...Walmart, groceries, cheap movie theater, regular movie theater, Dunkin Donuts, Greendale Mall. There is also a very small part of Holden (on the West Boylston line) that you shouldn't overlook. But you HAVE to live on that side of town for commuting purposes. Property values in these areas follow the trends like everyone else - but you will get more bang for your buck the farther away from 495 you get. Shrewsbury is a great town, but it definitely has its drawbacks. Getting crowded and richy.

West Boylston is about 15 min from Millbury. It is a small town, near to Worcester. Very good school system. The housing values have gone up. It is on Rte 12. Think the values of houses for 4 bedrooms, in other words a good sized house are around $300,000. While not inexpensive nit as expensive as some areas.
