Default Arggghhh Missed Toll

Hey guys,
When I was driving down to Florida, I got turned around and ended up passing through an Easy Pass lane in Framingham and not paying the toll. It's that one right where you pick up the first ticket from the machine and the Framingham exit is right there to the right. I grabbed a ticket and then took that exit and couldn't get over in time to hand my ticket over to the booth attendent and pay.

I can't find any information about what the steps are here? I'm assuming I'll get a ticket in the mail...will it be just for the price or am I going to get some other fine for it too? I slowed right down and almost came to a stop in the EZ pass lane because I got confused so it's not like a blew right through...

They used to give warnings, but I guess no longer. Things must be getting tighter at the Turnpike Auth.

MTA - FAST LANE FAQs

32. Does FAST LANE give warnings for first time violations?

All violations of the FAST LANE Program regulations and/or terms and conditions will result in a violation notice sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. Prior to February 27, 2009, FAST LANE did issue warnings for first time violators.

First time offenders who feel the violation was sent in error or the circumstances should be reviewed are encouraged to appeal. The appeal may lead to the dismissal of the $50 fine and require you to pay the original toll plus a violation administrative fee. You will be billed for the amount due after your appeal has been accepted; please do not include any payment with your appeal.

Wait and see what happens CC.... I did a similar thing on the Florida Turnpike coming north out of Miami on the way back from the Keys... I called their office and inquired as to what I should do. The very nice lady on the phone said the machine takes a pic of your plate and a file will be opened. If it happens a second time, they fine you. Never heard another word about it.

Try calling them and fess up as to what happened. You may be able to nip it in the bud. Worth a shot and you've got nothing to lose!
