Default Relocating to MA, Boston/Cambridge area

It looks like I will be moving in the near future, to take up a job selling scientifc equipment into Harvard, U Mass and Boston University.

I currently live in White Plains, NY and would be looking to live somewhere that offers a similar standard of living at approx the same price. I am single and would most likely be looking for a one to two bed apartment for somewhere around $2000 per month.

Can anyone recommend some areas/towns tha I could check out? Perhaps I could even consider living in Boston?

Also, does anyone know any could websites that describe living in this area, eaxcept for this one of course!

Cheers.

You should have no trouble finding a nice 1-bedroom in Cambridge/Boston for your price range, if you want to live in town (I would if I were you!)
Feel free to DM me. I lived in Cambridge for many years, and in and around it for more (Arlington, Brookline). All fine areas, all in your price range, easily.
Maybe you could consider a short-term corporate relocation apartment while you get more of a feel?
Best wishes.

I'd definitely try to find a place around Central Square or Downtown. There are some beautiful, luxury apartments in the area that anyone would die to have. With the way the economy is going, many of these places are also offering 1 or 2 months off the monthly rent. If you were close enough to downtown, you could get on the red line to Harvard and U-Mass (with shuttle bus from the JFK-UMass T-station), and the green line to BU. That'd be the best of all worlds- very, very easy commute, while living downtown!

Do you want to be in the heart of the city? That's something that you definitely want to ask yourself before even beginning to look for apartments!
