Western Mass sights to see
Hi All,
I will touring the NE States this August on my motorcycle. I've seen a fair amount of Mass and would like to check out the western side now. I'm looking to stay out of the cities/congestion as much as possble. If you have any favorite places to visit or any recommendations I'd appreciate them. This can also include places to eat that are favs.

Take the Mohawk Trail from North Adams on east. It's the most beautiful road in Mass. It winds up into the hills and has hairpin turns and then follows rivers with steep rises to either side. You won't be dissapointed.

I agree that the Quabbin is 'must see'. I run the Mohawk Trail on my Bike every Fall for the Foliage. I kick myself now for not taking pictures as I am soon 'headed' South.
