Hi...while still having high sale prices, the last 5 years has seen a pretty decent drop. Here's the average sold prices since 2005 in Hingham(Single family).

2005 - $827,000
2006 - $784,000
2007 - $770,000
2008 - $724,000
2009 - $710,000

Yes things are going down, and they'll continue to go down for the forseeable future. Hingham has had a lot of high priced new development over the past five years and I find it hard to believe people are still lining up to pay 1.5 mil and over for tract housing on steroids.
