Default Medfield, MA - Golf, pool, tennis?

Hello all,

My family and I are looking to move in a few months - and Medfield is on the top of our list. I've been able to get alot of great info about the town and schools but still had a few questions.

Growing up, I belonged to a summer swim and tennis club that had both junior swim and tennis teams that competed with other clubs in the state. I loved it and would really like to join a similar type club for my kids. Is there anything like this near Medfield? And, if so, is possible to actually get in or there huge waiting lists? Also, I was wondering if there are any good indoor tennis clubs nearby? My husband would also like to join a country club? Any that you'd recommend? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Medfield is wonderful!!! Great schools, lovely neighborhoods, etc. However, where would you be commuting to? In order to get to the major highways, you need to drive rt 109 through Medfield and Westwood, which can be a nightmare.
Kids are fighting - be back soon......

I think Medfield has some type of Tennis club, I think it is called Wimbledon 109. Pool I am not sure. Regarding golf, Walpole Country Club is next to your town and pretty fancy.

For a pool and tennis club, I'd recommend The Adirondack Club.

For private country clubs, Walpole or Franklin. Franklin would be the more challenging course of the two, It depend's on what your husband would prefer. Walpole CC does not have a pool. There is also Glenn Ellen in Millis, but that is all public now and I'm not sure what their financial state is.

I have also heard good things about Hopkinton, as far as it's a fun, social club: It's a little farther away than the others, but they do have both pool and tennis.

You might want to check out the Kingsbury Club, it is a newer club in Medfield. I've never been but it was recommended to my husband from a friend who belongs there and spends a fair amount of time over there with his family.
