Foxboro area need a great place to eat
Going to see the Joe Perry Project, thank god Joe is going solo!!! So need a great place to eat lunch/dinner in area. Looking for great food, nice atmosphere not the suit and dress place but some nice atmosphere, good tavern type or good american food. How is the Lafayette House? Any suggestions, willing to travel outside but no more than 15 miles. Thanks Marilyn

I like Stoneforge, which is right down Rt 1. However, there are several REALLY NICE places in the Patriot Place complex, and shopping as well. The CBS Scene is my fave, but I'm partial to beer and sports...

I like Lafayette House, but it may be a little more formal for what you are looking for. I'd go with StoneForge.

Another vote for Stoneforge. If you feel like dressing up a LITTLE bit (no suit necessary), Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse at Patriot Place is a good bet. Great steaks.

thanks guys and gals, im back. The project was great, 3 feet from Joe Perry!! Small little bar, unbelievable. Ok food, here you go, laugh as loud as you can. I had lunch at the lafayette house, terrible. Living on its old coat tails, absolutely could not eat it. My husband same thing and two totally different meals.
Dinner the best!!!!! I drove past a lot of places and was afraid to get ripped off again so I saw this little hole in the wall and I mean hole in the wall but it was packed so I said somethings going on, well it was great. Nice , simple beer, simple cooking but homestyle it was call the Red Wing Diner. Seafood, pizza, and turkey all excellent.
Do you guys know this hole??

Yes I do, and you're not going to believe this but it was recently "renovated", you should have seen it before.

Is it open again? Hurrah! I tried to go there in early August but it was closed, I suppose for the renovations.
