Default Salem MA parking places to eat witch stuff

Hey I am going to check out Salem MA on Tuesday and I just need some suggestions on where to park and what to tour. I (no surprise) am looking to tour Halloween theme places and want a great lunch place. Please give suggestions and websites. Any dog activities that can be suggested? I know the dog stuff is a bit of a stretch

Will you be coming from Boston? - or a local hotel? Will you have a car with you? Do you mind taking public transit?

You can take the commuter rail from North Station to Salem and walk from the station to downtown, might actually be cheaper than all day parking
and less hassle

Lunch: For Lunch I'd recommend the Brothers Deli
on Derby St. its an ideal location to the tourist attractions, (short walk to Essex St.)

and has a wide variety of lunch options. its cafeteria style and is fast, and the food is good. Good quality and value for what you get.

Great staff too.

Definitely worth checking out.

I just came back from Salem today and had a great time! Parking over the weekend was crazy, but I don't know about the weekdays. Get there EARLY, takes lots of quarters, and find a meter and feed it all day, which is cheaper than paying $20 for a private spot. That's what I did. You didn't have to put money in after 5pm. We ate at some great places... Bangkok Paradise for Thai food on Washington St. , New England Soup Factory which is also on Washington and the Lobster Shanty, but I don't remember what street that was on.. I think artist row. ALl yummy food.

Definitely go to the Salem Witch Museum early and buy your ticket, walk up and down Essex Street, and go to the waterfront where there are tons more shops and eateries. Oh, I also went to the shop HEX on Washington St. to get a reading from a local witch named Lori Bruno. Make sure it's with her. She was actually very insightful and I recommend it. She books up quick because she is so popular. $40 for 15 minutes. When in Salem I guess getting a reading from a witch is the thing to do
ANy of the stores have the HAUNTED HAPPENINGS magazine that has maps and descriptions of all the attractions around town. Let us know how it went
