in that one little paragraph MA managed to destroy nearly every right guaranteed to every american in a 36-0 vote in senate that WILL be signed by the governor of MA. this isn't a bill to guarantee the safety of the public, this is a bill that will make martial law and absolutist dictatorship legal. still think that this is the "right" thing to do?

Yup. And this type of fear and laws are what helped Hitler and other dictators grab more and more power. So even when they did what they did in many cases the laws allowed it. Was it immoral...of course. But that doesn't matter.

A great Seinfeld quote I heard a couple of weeks ago went along the lines of "government is basically parenting for adults".
