Waverly Square--two thumbs up!
This area is fine---I agree with other posters. It's not the most rehabbed area at this time, but eventually the square will get a facelift. I canvassed that area for the US Census Bureau a few months ago and found the people to be very friendly and I felt completely safe walking around. It's a pretty convenient location and the bus goes right to Harvard Square. Enjoy your new home!
