We are preparing for a potential move to Westborough from Idaho. My family and I have always lived on the west coast and have never visited the New England area. Can anyone recommend and towns within 30min of Westborough (we have 3 small kids). We like small towns since our hobbies are related to being outdoors camping, fishing, and hiking) we are not city people. Also, are there any farmers markets?

For small towns nearby I'd say:
Berlin: One of my favorite small towns where there are still farms, lots of open space, horse trails, etc. A beautiful, unspoiled place to live with approx 3,000 residents.
Holliston: A great small town with a quaint walkable town center, good schools, lots of community activities, and easy access to lots of trails for hiking. You can also fish at the lakes in nearby Hopkinton (Lake Whitehall is quieter than Lake Maspenock, which tends to get a little overrun with jet skis, and snowmobiles during ice fishing time, although Maspenock is well stocked. There are fishing derbies there every year.)
Sherborn: I think might very well with what you're looking for. About half of the town's open space is preserved and there are excellent trails, including some great ones along the Charles River. The schools are consistently ranked as one of the top in the state. Prices are high there but I do know of a few good rentals in your price range. We've lived in several towns in the area (wife grew up in Westboro) and once we found Sherborn I don't think we'll ever leave. It's quiet and that's what my wife likes best about it. There are several nearby farmer's markets and we also have our choice of community farm shares nearby.
