According to all the recent news reports, Maine, Vermont and Rhode Island have legalized medical marijuana use and cultivation, just like California, and also have decriminalized recreational use to a greater degree than Mass.

lol me too. I am an artist as well, and wouldn't it be nice if i had money, no responsibility, and legality to partake as easily as I would if I wanted a glass of wine while I painted? Sure. But realistically... no. We're not there yet as a nation.

As a nation no...But parts of Colorado and lots of California is....There is another gold rush going on....A&E just aired a documentory on it...I just read an article yesterday about the 1st Pot Cafe that opened in Portland Oregon where it is basically a smoking lounge. Here in Colorado they have opened in Boulder, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Nederland, just to name a few.... It's happening....maybe not everywhere....but it's happening. If Obama is out of office in 3 more years it will probably come to a screeching halt....if he gets re-elected....who knows?
