I do my part for the pit bull breed by taking my dog out into the public on walks and letting people see how friendly and social he is. I like showing people how sweet and socialized my dog is, and it helps change their perspective about pit bulls. In my opinion this is the only way to change people's opinions about pit bulls.

I worked with dogs in the military and have put dogs through dog shows
dogs are not the problem, people are the problem
I had a long haired german sheperd/ king shepherd when I lived in hyde park, the amount of times I got asked if I wanted to fight my dog with theirs for money was unreal.
laws and more laws when will it all stop

All pitbulls should be killed
All pitbulls should be destroyed. They are a menace. They bring death to children and terror to all who encounter them. They are the scourge of the planet. There is no use for these animals in a civilized world. Citizens should rise up and force governments to ban this breed forever. It has happened in France and Ontario Canada and the USA should follow suit.

wouldn't use france as an example of any country to follow especially with all their problems.
again the problem is people, because of their reputation then unfortunatly many idiots want to get them so they look tough, so they can fight them , , you see a lot of people having them in the inner cities because of what they call street cred.
off topic but
there's people in this country what still think we should kill wolves and never have them in the wild yet a wolf has never attacked a human being for for over a hundred years for no reason.

It's the people not the animals who are "bad"? I'm bad....so bad....
KEWL....I'll argue for having pet Hyenas...Wow...I'd bet that a Hyena would take a "pit" any day....YO....

It's spelled pit bull. I think you should direct that energy to more important things going on in the world then pit bulls.

To the Pit bull owners that have responded back rationally, I thank you. You do indeed give us hope that there are some rational good heat people owning this breed.
I do not mean to insult you, and if the day day this breed is reclassified (as I want) or banned my hear will be with you. I, and many like me are pissed off at all the owners who do act like selfish dicks.
Unfortunately, based on the number of maulings and deaths caused by this breed alone, this dog needs to be reclassified like other countries have done.
This dog is like a gun, guns don't kill people, people kill people, but we now require people to get a license for guns as we should this breed of dog.

I would get a license in a second so I could continue to own my pit bull. If it would be a fair compromise and make people more comfortable around pit bulls I think it would be a good thing. I think it would also be cool to walk around town with my pit bull license.

I agree 100%! I would do whatever I had to do to keep my dogs. I think that we should be a lot more strict on who is allowed to own the "pit bull" breeds, and other powerful breeds.
