We moved to the area last year, and got a tree at a farm in Bridgewater, but they're closed this year. Does anyone know good places to buy christmas trees? We don't mind driving a little if we have to. We'd prefer cut your own, too, and if they have a website that's a bonus.

Mockingbird Hill Farm in Lakeville to cut your own. It's an annual tradition for us! I think you can find their website through pickyourown.org.

I paid about $140 for 2 one was around 11' and the other 8'. The trees I bought were skinny and are not oversheared - I like them that way so the branches are spaced far enough apart and thick enough to hold alot of heavy ornaments.

I'm not sure if fuller trees are more expensive or not. Sorry.

They give you a price sheet and you go into the field. Each tree that is for sale has a colored ribbon on it and the price sheet tells you the price of that color ribbon. They also have precut trees in unusual varieties, roping ($1.75 per yard which I think is a bargain), poinsettias etc. They have free coffee and cocoa and play Christmas music.

Tree-Berry Farm, Rt 123 Norwell:
Tree-Berry Farm
Not cheap, so be prepared. There are also 2 places across the street with cut trees as a backup plan.

Lamberts, Rt 139 Pembroke (Stop&Shop plaza, cut trees)
When we lived in Quincy, we always had good luck with Lamerts in Dorchester. Never been to the one in Pembroke, but assume they are quality trees.
