I used to live in Chelmsford, MA.
And they had a VERY active SAHD's club
I believe it was called the Chelmsford Dad's Club or something
They meet EVERYWHERE. Mostly at clubs
and they have a special day for them at the Chelmsford Public Library (in the center of town).

Not uncommon at all.

my father was a stay at home dad for much of my elementary school years in Amherst, Ma. He was very respected in the community as he coached my softball teams, chaperoned many field trips, and was a good male role model for several of my father-less friends. You'll be fine!

I'm a SAHD in Newton and I know of another next door in Watertown too. Yup, there's a lot of us. I see em all over, especially outdoors at the parks. The SAHMs tend to hang out more in the malls. I wasn't aware of any SAHD clubs, so I'll definitely have to check out that Chelmsford one.
