leominster condo
I'm being self serving, but I have a condo for sale in Fitchburg, next to Leominster, lowest price condo on the market. 1 BR 1Ba, renovated school, $87,900 for over 800 sq. ft. Good parking. Most are owner occupied. Park and playground next door, Call me quick to see it. My broker is setting up a possible rental this wk. but I'd rather sell it. 207-332-9666

Leominster is an excellent choice
Great town, excellent restaurants, friendly, open people, ease of access to highways, near lots of recreational activities.
Here is one of the best townhouse options available on the market in Leominster. Check it out for an idea of what you could live in...

Great enthusiasm, it's well placed!
Sincerely,

On Leominster
Hi there -- I have lived in Leominster for seven-plus years and was born and raised in the Boston suburbs. I lived in Fox Meadow condos for two years and moved to the south side about five years ago. Like any other big city, Leominster has its good and bad parts. While I used to think it was the end of the universe, I appreciate its city character coupled with the country. Fallbrook is a little run down, but there are lots of other condos available. I wouldn't eliminate it from your list.

Leominster is the better bet hands down! Fitchburg is cheaper because it has more problems. It's a struggling city. Leominster has a better mayor, takes care of its city issues, just re-built the library, built more middle schools, going to re-vamp the high school, a lot of industrialization (big name stores coming to town: Target, super Wal-mart, Lowes, Best Buy, Cold stone creamery...etc). There is just a better quality of life there. Schools are good! I graduated HS and went to a great Private university in CT with a good scholarship! My family has been there for over 20 years and we have never had any major issues besides kids playing pranks. LOL
Mostly mischievious boredom. LOL. Stupid stuff like ringing your doorbell and running, blasting music in their cars, someone took an angel figurine from my mom's hallway. Stupid things! There is no murder though! That's better than you can say for Worcester or Boston!
Plus, you are in the center of Mass so you are an hour from everything!
An hour from boston, an hour from Springfield, an hour from Providence, RI, 35 mins from Keene NH, 1 hour from Nashua, NH, 25 mins from Worcester, 20 mins from Skiiing at Mount Wachusett, 2 hours from Hartford. It's not bad at all! It's definitely worth the look! I love how Leominster still maintains it's small town parades, town meetings, festivals, and stuff.
It's a place for adults/families, but not a great place for "the single life."
Depending on which field you work in, you should be able to get a good job within a 30 mins or less commute.

Grew up in Leominster. It's not a bad place. Yes there is traffic going towards 495 during rush hour but it isn't any worse than the other highways except 190 to Worcester wich is an easy drive. Not sure about the Fallbrook condos but the area is OK. You might find a decent older home in the west side or south side reasonably priced. I moved to Ashburnham 25 minutes away. It's great if you like snow. That short move cost me 6 weeks of summer. My house will be up for sale next year as I will be moving to Charleston SC. Can't wait to throw out my snow shovels!

Leominster Native
Hi I grew up in Leominster, and have family in Leominster, Lunenburg and Sterling. To me it's all the same, and real estate values are holding. Leominster since it's a medium sized city has a lot to offer, and the school system has many options for students since the city is moderately sized.
You can get to Worcester, NH Malls, and the Metro West area fairly easy from Leominster.
I owned a business that did very well, and that is my biggest regret moving from there. We moved to be closer to the beach and now are planning one more more a little more south.
Having lived in a variety of areas, it really is no different than any other city of that size.
My cousin lives in the Fall Brook Condos and he and his wife a very pleased there.
Hope this helps.

I liveed in Leominster for eight months while my house was being built. It did seem that the part nearer to Fitchburg was a bit rocky, and the rest was pretty pleasant and unpretentious. A rural feel on the edges, good highway access. There seems to be a big outlet mall or some kind of big shopping thing for those who want that nearby.
I did live on a road that was a straight shot to Fitchburg, and there was no shortage of low-riders tearing down the road on their way, presumably to Fitchburg.

Leominster is depressed. If you have ever lived outside of Massachusetts you'd realize it. It has a crappy little mall. It has a lot of junky stores and crappy restaurants around the area. It is close to Fitchburg. I can't think of any reason to move to Leominster. The people are pretty closed minded unless you grew up there. Most everyone that lives there are born and raised there, many times in the same house, and for some reason they think that gives them some entitlement. If you must move to Massachusetts I'd stay away from Leominster and most towns surrounding it.

I beg your pardon...
Readers will be well served to consider the validity of glaring generalizations. Though one person's perspective may be true from that person's perspective, generalizations are dangerous as they often times do not represent fact.
That said, Leominster is not depressed. Au contraire, it is a thriving small city, flourishing in many ways.
Both longstanding families who have maintained residence within the city and a fresh influx of newcomers from points further east are calling Leominster home.
The economic base is varied and the municipality has engaged, thoughtful leadership.
Some people prefer to send their kids to private school, yet academically Leominster's school system is viewed favorably by most parents.
Is your child curious and motivated? Do you support their strengths and guide their choices? If you answer yes to one or both of these questions, congratulations, your little one is likely to succeed academically and in life for that matter.
To further that end, the superintendent of schools in Leominster recently initiated an educational foundation intended to bring more computer resources into the classrooms.
We are on the right track in this town. The city has many amenities and the quality of life is affordable, convenient, comfortable and progressive. Leominster is a great place to start, a worthy place to grow and a terrific place to mature.
Though not perfect, Leominster is an excellent choice; all things considered.
When seeking a place to call home, your happiness of course will be dependent upon your needs, your situation, your hopes and your dreams. In fact, Leominster provides many benefits that can contribute to successful, healthy lifestyles.
