places to marry in taunton (Brockton, Norton: outdoor wedding, live in, legally)

Hi

I am getting married in early July and I am wondering if anyone could suggest a good outdoor area in or around Taunton.I don't live in Taunton but I am getting married there so my family can attend. Very simple ceremony by a justice of the peace. Thanks for any help people may have.

For a simple outdoor wedding, check out the park at the Norton Public Library on Rte 123. It's beautifully landscaped and for a reasonable fee, a library representative can get chairs and reserve the park for your day. A gazebo is the centerpiece of the park.

Boyden Bird Sanctuary off of Rt 138 and the Boulevard going toward Swank's.

I don't remember the road it's on but we had our Wedding there back in '93.

I now live in PA so don't know if it is even there any more. I do remember the Three-Mile river runs through it.

Did you know in the state of Massachusetts you can legally be married by anyone WITH the permission of the Seretary of State?. The officiator is called a solemnizer see link: One Day Marriage Designation Instructions

Lake Nippinicket is very nice in Bridgetwater they have a boat ramp where yo ucould set up a stage and or gazebo or what not.
maybe DW Fields park in Brockton?

I might recommend Duxbury beach too.

I'm in a similar position! Planning to marry in Taunton so my family can attend. But I'm looking for tented (heated) or indoor venues as it will be a fall wedding. Any ideas for something lowkey and inexpensive? Benjamin's maybe? Country clubs in the area?
